Castle Acre Primary School

Pupil roles

Our children have many roles in our school life; their voice is very important to us and helps school leaders run our schools well. Through a process of democratic voting, children can become School Councillors, where they gather to collate children's views, solve issues, make decisions and carry out important roles such as helping with recruitment. With a similar process, children are chosen to be Values Ambassadors, who consistently model our school values , spot others - children or adults - who do so and nominate them as Good Samaritans to be celebrated in Collective Worship. Children with a passion for our earth are elected Eco Councillors and work hard to make our schools more eco-friendly. Once in Year Six, children write to apply to be Head and Deputy Head Pupils and are interviewed for the role. The selected children are asked to work with our local community, show visitors round, represent our school at community events and demonstrate our values at all times.

We are proud of the work that our children do and value their input.
