Castle Acre Primary School

Our Church

NARBOROUGH & Castle Acre

Stuart NiarnOur local churches, All Saints, Narborough & St James The Great, Castle Acre are an easy walk from the schools. We often have 'field trips' to the churches to learn more about the Christian faith and families are regularly invited to join us to celebrate special events at the churches. The schools also have close links with our neighbouring churches at West Acre, South Acre and Newton by Castle Acre.

As Church of England schools we hold a Christian act of worship every day.  Emphasis is put on living our lives in a way which is caring towards others, ourselves and the environment. Collective Worship plays a very important role in setting the tone of school life.  We aim to create an atmosphere of peace, understanding and awareness.  Collective Worship is conducted in a broadly Christian tradition which is non denominational. At present we are using the ‘Values for Life’ resource to support the planning and delivery of Collective Worship. The children are encouraged to play an active part.

Our daily Collective Worship is led by the teaching staff and by The Revd.Canon Stuart Nairn; occasionally visitors take special acts of worship.

Parents may withdraw their children from the Collective Act of Worship if they put in a written request to do so.
