Castle Acre Primary School

Sewing Club

In the second half of the Spring Term 2018, we ran a Sewing Club for Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 pupils on Tuesdays, from 3.15pm to 4.15pm. Children used binka fabric and large-eyed blunt needles, and learnt how to sew some basic stitches, including a backstitch to start off and complete a row of sewing. The children practised their skills and made a bookmark, and then used stitches to create a picture on a larger piece of binka. We ran out of weeks, so each child took home some extra binka, a card of threads and a needle. Happy sewing at home, everyone!
